Concept
The University Pandemic Personal Planning Device (UPPPD) criticizes the decisions that many universities made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In many cases, certain universities reacted with the wrong priorities and goals in mind whether it be public image, financial gain, or outright disdain for students. Or, they did not consider the full context of each situation and scenario before deciding and making an announcement.
To convey these issues, the UPPPD places the audience in a school administrator’s point-of-view. The device walks the user through a series of questions (20 Questions-style) to arrive at an institutional decision. Different combinations of responses lead to varying scenarios.
